When the seasons’ change, so should our skincare routine. Because summertime leaves our skin damaged and dry, fall is the perfect time to exfoliate our skin and prepare it for the upcoming winter months.
Why do I need to exfoliate? Exfoliation removes the dead skin cells that have built up, allowing new cells to surface. This allows for better penetration of products, including our much-needed moisturizers.
When it comes to exfoliation, Glymed Plus Anti-Aging Exfoliant Masque
is my go-to product in the facial room, and my clients love the results. With its 7% Glycolic Acid, 7% Lactic Acid, and 7% Salicylic Acid, this amazing product is extremely effective at removing toxins and dead skin cells. It is abundant in active ingredients all the while rebuilding and recharging worn-out skin.
There is another reason I love this product so much! It can be used as both an exfoliating cleanser and an exfoliating masque. But, what’s the difference? If you want a lighter exfoliation, you can cocktail it with Glymed Plus Gentle Facial Wash
for mechanical exfoliation. For the other option, you can apply it as a masque allowing it to remain on your skin for 5-10 minutes. Gently massage your skin prior to rinsing with warm water to maximize the exfoliation effects.
It is never good to over-exfoliate your skin because it can cause your body to produce more oil, resulting in breakouts, however, Anti-Aging Exfoliant Masque is gentle enough to be used 2-3 times a week.
Add it to your cleanser
for extra exfoliation
Put it on while you are in the shower, allowing the steam to intensify the exfoliation for 5-10 minutes.
Before rinsing it off, massage the product for 60 seconds in circular motions, removing any remaining dead skin cells.
